Democracy
In recent decades, Brazil has undergone a democratization process that has guaranteed its citizens political rights, with free and democratic elections, governmental stability, and the strengthening of an active civil society.
However, this process has not been accompanied by a reduction in violence, better income distribution, and the strengthening of the rule of law. The radicalization of democracy and the strengthening of its mechanisms remain significant challenges for Brazilian society.
In this regard, we support initiatives to promote and train autonomous civil society groups for social participation. We also provide studies and promote debates on social transformations that impact democratic processes.
