
Journalist with a Minor degree in International Politics from PUC-Rio and a Master’s degree in Transformation and Development in Latin America from Freie Universität (FU) in Berlin, Germany. Coordinator for Events and International Cooperation at the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Brazil. Responsible for the Positive Futures project (see here), to be launched at COP30, and for supporting the institution throughout the G20 process in Brazil.
Leonardo was also a research assistant on the DEPRISK project on deportation risks between 2022 and 2024, and interned in the Communications department of the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Rio de Janeiro in 2020. During his undergraduate studies, he completed the one-year Cologne Global Studies Program on the European Union at the University of Cologne.
His professional experience also includes working as a TV producer for Olympic Broadcasting Services during the Rio 2016 Olympics, and a period as a freelance reporter, during which he wrote articles on technology and international politics for The Brazilian Report and Latin American Business Stories (LABS News).
